From Bricks to Books – Ananta Tudu
🌟 From Bricks to Books – The Inspiring Journey of Ananta Tudu 🌟
At just 13, Ananta Tudu’s world once revolved around the harsh reality of brick kilns. Born to migrant laborer parents in Medinipur, Ananta had no access to school, no books to hold, and no dreams beyond survival. His childhood seemed destined to be lost in the dust of brick fields.
But in 2021, a new chapter began. Through the intervention of Towards Future’s Brick Field Education Program, Ananta was introduced to the joy of learning. Step by step, he mastered basic literacy and numeracy, his eyes lighting up with every new discovery. His parents, once unsure about education, slowly became his biggest supporters after attending awareness sessions.
Today, Ananta is proudly studying in Grade 3 at Kidz Planet Learning Centre, with an impressive 92% attendance and a 63% average score across subjects. More importantly, he has found confidence, curiosity, and a vision for his future.
✨ Ananta now dreams of becoming an engineer—a dream born not in the smoke of kilns, but in the promise of education. He hopes to return to his village one day, build a better life for his family, and ensure his father never has to toil in a brick field again.
His story is not just about one child’s transformation—it is about breaking the cycle of poverty and labor through education.
💛 Ananta’s smile is proof: When given a chance, every child can rise beyond their circumstances and dream fearlessly.

Biswajit Mondal
Biswajit Mondal dropped out from his school last year. He lives with his mother and two more brothers. His father went for second marriage and left these children. His mother works hard to meet up family requirements. No one is in their family to look after their education. Our teachers visited home regularly and tried to motivate Biswajit to come to school daily. In the beginning he was not regular and did not even know to write Bengali alphabets.
In the last assessment Biswajit performed very well and surprisingly he improved a lot. Now he can read the Bengali books and write all Bengali alphabets, spelling of small Bengali words and can write numbers from 1 to 100. He also knows small addition & subtraction. We are proud of Biswajit. He has mainstreamed in class III and dream to be in high school soon.
